Peerless Water Colors have been around since 1865. The formula initially created by Charles F. Nicholson
has never changed after all these years. It has been patented since 1902 and the current manufacturer is only the fourth
person/company to obtain this formula.
Peerless Transparent Water Colors-Complete Edition~ I first came across these about 10 years
ago or so at a rubber stamp convention and was blown away. This is a book of water colors- perfect for the person who
likes to take their art with them- even on a plane. The water colors are put up on films or paper leaflets so the book
is filled with separate sheets of these films, different colors and each separated by a plain sheet of paper. To use-
cut small pieces from the color film for your work- I would start out with a very small piece. Full directions are included
for use. Feel free to give these as a gift for children too. These can also be used to color projector
slides- and photographs.
They are transparent and their self blending qualities have gained for them a world-wode fame. This film leaflet
is original with Peerless and has been pateneted since 1902.
They are easy to use and almost any beginner can obtain good results with them after 1 or 2 trials. They flow smoothly
and evenly over any paper surface and combined will form an almost unlimited number of shades and tints. They require
not care except to keep them from DAMPNESS.
This set comes with 15 color sheets measuring 2.5" x 6.5"-colors shown below- see chart- and the intensity is controlled
by adding more or less water. Complete edition colors are: brilliant yellow, deep yellow, orange yellow, flesh
tint, geranium pink, royal crimson, mahogany brown, sepia brown, light green, dark green, sky blue, deep blue, wisteria violet
and pearl grey.
Peerless Metal Glazes~ I fell in love with these when I received a sample from the mfg. I
liked the color, the transparency and the flow. I don't get to play a whole lot-got to get your orders out and all......but
I wanted to use these the minute I got them. I have tried them on a wood bangle bracelet as a base color and was very
pleased with them. Peerless carries most of the water colors from the book in a liquid form too, but for now, just choosing
to offer the metallic glazes. I just like shiny things.
I am carrying them in gold, silver metallic. Although copper is shown, it is sold out. Each comes in
a 2 oz plastic bottle.

This sample was painted using 3 colors of the Peerless Water Colors with a water brush on Claudine Helmuth ATC sized
untreated canvas. The hummingbird was painted using Stickles Glitter Glue.
One of the products that I tried at CHA, 2007 was the pearl Ex Watercolor CD. I really liked how easy
it was to use and how pretty the colors were. They are all ready to go, no mixing, just use your water brush or
regular paint brush and water and you are ready to go.
Pearl Ex Watercolor CD~ This set comes with 12 colors: pewter, periwinkle, dark peach, white, fuchsia,
baja blue, coral, raspberry, dark rose, wheat, aqua and apple green. Just wet your brush and apply to your paper- simple
and easy to use. Looks great on black paper too! When I used them at CHA, they had prepared an image on black
paper and then embossed it and we colored in using the watercolors. It was really a nice look. I like to make
a background paper using it by just randomly applying the colors in a diagonal on the paper, let it dry and then stamp your
image on it. Anyway you want to use it, the look will be great. I like things stored or packaged in the CD's because
they are easily stored in a regular music cd tower. This set is nice also because you can just pop it in your kit or
bag and take anywhere with you.
Aqua-Flow Water Brush~ This is a great tool to use with your Pearl Ex Watercolor CD- portable and simple.
Just fill the reservoir with water and you are ready to use your paints. When you want to change colors, simply roll
on a paper towel to remove the excess color. How simple is that! These brushes are made by Royal Langnickel who
has been making quality artists brushes for many years. Use them with your Twinkling H2O's, watercolors, watercolor
crayons and watercolor pencils. You get a package of 3 with 3 sizes, small, medium and large.
